Asha Kreiling

Policy & Communications Analyst


photo2.jpgAsha Kreiling joined the Community Water Center in 2015. As Policy & Communications Analyst, Asha provides support for grassroots environmental justice campaigns around drinking water in the San Joaquin Valley.

A San Francisco Bay Area native, Asha has experience supporting a number of environmental and community development organizations in California focusing on urban sustainability, transportation and resource conservation issues. Prior to joining CWC, she conducted budget analysis for the Department of Transportation Unit at the New York City Office of Management and Budget. She led student initiatives to improve campus recycling rates at Columbia University and also served as a graduate consultant for the New York City Department of Sanitation. Asha developed and managed composting programs at low-income apartment complexes in City Heights, San Diego and organized for California’s Proposition 37 campaign to label genetically engineered foods. She is also a Core Member and mechanic at the Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen. 

Asha holds a Masters of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a B.A. in Environmental Systems – Policy from University of California, San Diego.
