Water Programs Intern

emelyjimenezstaffpagepic_(1)2.jpgEmely Jimenez began interning at Community Water Center in the Summer of 2016. She previously studied Spanish at San Jose State University, but quickly realized her passion for the environment. She is now currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science as a senior at Sacramento State University. As a student at Sacramento State University, Emely has worked at the Sustainable Technology Research Center (STORC) helping to maintain aquaponics systems. She has also helped to restore a local elementary school garden. As an intern at Community Water Center, Emely hopes to gain valuable experience regarding environmental policy, outreach and advocacy. She hopes to use her experience and passion for helping others to promote environmental justice for all. On her free time Emely enjoys listening to music, thrift store shopping and pampering herself.
