CWC and our partners worked hard to secure over half a billion dollars in the 2014 Prop 1 Water Bond specifically to address the water needs of disadvantaged communities, and now is the time for communities and nonprofits to be applying for this funding. Applications are continuously being accepted online for wastewater and drinking water projects, which communities and nonprofits can apply for here.
The Office of Sustainable Water Solutions (OSWS), which was created earlier this year thanks to advocacy from the water justice movement, is also soliciting technical assistance proposals to support communities that are developing water projects. The OSWS intends to provide technical assistance with drinking water, wastewater, groundwater quality, and stormwater needs all under one program. More information about the Technical Assistance Funding Program is available here. The OSWS is encouraging submissions by Dec. 18, which is coming up soon! We worked hard to secure funding for the technical assistance communities need, so we hope it gets put to good use!! Please contact CWC or the Office of Sustainable Water Solutions if you have any questions.
